1 yr ago today I began reinventing myself but I had no idea that's what was happening at the time. I was 249 lbs, on quite a few prescription medications, was pre-diabetic, slept 12+ hrs/day, had little energy, had major mental health struggles, IBS, high blood pressure, GERD, and more!

FIRST, LET'S UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM
The standard diet of most people is loaded with high carbohydrate and sugar-rich foods such as breads, rice, pasta, pancakes, waffles, fried foods, starchy vegetables, sugary desserts, i.e., cookies, cakes, candy, soda, and snack bars, and beverages.

These foods contribute to Insulin Resistance, a condition where the body is producing too much insulin that it cannot use, often presenting itself in the physical form of a protruding belly and fat in other areas of the body.

  • During ketosis, the fat is converted by your liver and creates Ketones, which are small molecules that are a result of the fat burning process. 
Ketones are used throughout your body as a fuel source, especially fuel for your brain. This allows you to experience greater energy, heightened cognitive function and better focus, in addition to weight loss.

So in conclusion, Keto is a healthy, sustainable, and effective way to improve your health, feel better, and look better too!
